I'm Jake Burkons — Jacob Burkons on anything official. I grew up in Beachwood, Ohio, just outside Cleveland, and went to Beachwood High School, where I played football for the Bison and wrote for The Beachcomber, the school's student newspaper. I now live in Austin, Texas, where I study business at Austin Community College, with coursework in microeconomics and macroeconomics.

 

Outside of school I invest in residential rental property with a partner, and I write about place, travel and culture at The Times of Israel and on Medium.
